Retired Orangetown Police Chief hero passes away

The Orangetown Police Benevolent Association announced on Monday, March 14th, the passing of retired Police Chief Kevin Nulty.

Nulty was appointed as a town police officer in 1976 and moved up the ladder as appointed chief in 1997, until he took on retirement in 2019. During his retirement, he was a Criminal Justice & Government Policy Advisor. 

“For 43 years he served our community proudly, with 23 of them being chief,” a union statement said. ”Our membership sends our prayers to his wife Ann and his family during this difficult time, and our condolences to those who knew and loved him.” Photo of Kevin Nulty
