“Flagman” Pays Tribute to Servicemen on Father’s Day

A retired law enforcement officer, who declined to provide his name, spent last Sunday jogging through the hamlet of Pearl River in 90 degree weather to honor servicemen unable to spend Father’s Day with their families.

“Flagman” as some in town have taken to calling him, has run three miles every other day since 2002 to honor all the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
