Police investigate Ramapo stabbings

RAMAPO – Police are investigating a stabbing incident at a home in the Town of Ramapo Monday night. They said two men who live at 124 Fairview Avenue were stabbed in an altercation stemming from an incident earlier in the day at the house.

The suspect was being held in place by witnesses awaiting police. Investigators were seen looking for evidence on the driveway until the early morning hours Sunday. Family, friends and neighbors gathered to comfort one another. Police said one victim was transported by Montefiore Nyack Hospital by a relative before police arrival. The second victim was transported by ambulance to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.

The suspect was transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern. All three sustained non-life threatening injuries, police said. The suspect was expected to be charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
