More and more celebrities have been vocal in expressing love and support for medical marijuana. Each year, the list keeps growing! Check out the following celebrities who are not afraid to go through public scrutiny just to show their passion for weed, its legalization and its many benefits for treatment of their health problems.

Celebrities That Support Medical Marijuana  Use

1. Snoop Dogg

His name has been synonymous to weed.   In fact, it might be hard to find a celeb list of weed users without him on it.  He’s always been in the news supporting cannabis and his passion for has not been shaken by an inch. To date, Snoop has invested and raised $45 million to cannabis-related investments.

In 2015, Snoop Dog co-founded Casa Verde Capital that specializes on cannabis business’ ancillary side. He’s also focusing on legal cannabis. His investment firm invested on a cannabis lab, Canalysis that focuses on testing different products for dispensaries, manufacturers and cultivators..

2. Rihanna

She’s not just one of the best-selling artists of all time, but also an avid supporter of cannabis use.    The music icon is always open about her relationship with marijuana; in fact, she launched MaRihanna, her own line of marijuana products in 2016. And in the end, her global celeb status and outspoken voice prove powerful towards marijuana legalization.

3. Jennifer Anniston

The Hollywood star shared her relationship with CBD oilfor anxiety, stress and pain. She even told US Weekly that CBD offers cannabis benefits without the high.

4. Megan Fox

The Tennessee-born actor Megan Fox born on May 6, 1986 has always been vocal about cannabis use.  She even told GQ back in 2009 that she’s hoping that the authorities could legalize marijuana and added that she would be the first one to fall in line for her pack of joints.

Fox also revealed how much she had been through just because she’s open to the public about weed smoking. She said that people are looking at smoking cannabis like it‘s a crazy stuff to do, but then defended it isn’t.

5. Alessandra Ambrosio

The Victoria’s Secret Angel revealed that pot helps her sleep when anxious.

She shared that one of the best ways to prepare for a show is to get a full night’s sleep of eight hours.

But then, she noted how it was hard when her mind was getting anxious.   She revealed trying CBD oil noting how it helps.

6. David Duchovny

The Californication and the X-Files actor have always been open about weed use for a couple of times.   He’s also one of those hoping they (policymakers) could legalize it, saying he’s all for legalization.

7. Lady Gaga

The outrageously talented songwriter and singer had definitely put on a great Super Bowl halftime show that reached over 116 million people.

She admitted of the stress she’s dealing with the kind of career she has. She turns to cannabis regularly to help her manage it.

8. Zach Galifianakis

The Hangover comedian and actor is another celebrity advocating for marijuana legalization.    The host to the award-winning talk show “Between Two Ferns” has consistently been talking about his passion and love for weed.

9. Sir Richard Branson

Founder of the Virgin Group, Sir Richard Branson, is another outspoken supporter of medical marijuana dispensariesand the legalization of marijuana. Branson does not only speak out against the drug prohibition but also about potentially investing to the marijuana industry.

10. Morgan Freeman

His cannabis use goes beyond recreational after he suffered from a car accident back in 2008. He uses it in treating his arm’s fibromyalgia pain. He added that only weed has helped him manage the pain and that it has provided him with relief.

11. Patrick Stewart

Known for his role as Professor X of X Men, Patrick Stewart is a cannabis user for treating his hand pain.

12. Whoopi Goldberg

The celebrity has been open about her relationship with Sippy, her vape pen, which has been helping her manage glaucoma pain. She depends on it instead of pain medications.

Final Thoughts

Celebrities have been using medical marijuana in treating different types of pain. Some of them have also been vocal about using it to deal with anxiety and stress.  Others have been advocating on its legalization.

Where are all these things taking us? No one knows for certain, but one thing is.  The star status of these celebrities and their support for medical marijuana use becomes a good strategy of dispensary marketing and could help us predict the direction of weed legalization in the US and the rest of the world in the future.
