PEARL RIVER COMPANY ONE OF SIX IN STATE TO RECEIVE DISABLED VETERAN CERTIFICATION

Office of General Services Commissioner RoAnn Destito this week announced that six businesses in New York State have recently been certified by the Office of General Services’ (OGS) Division of Service-Disabled Veterans’ Business Development (DSDVBD). One of those is located in Pearl River, Rockland County:

Torvalsen Marine Service LLC, located in Pearl River, AL, specializes in marina and waterfront construction management.

The Division was created in May 2014 with enactment of the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Act. As of June 11, 2018, a total of 497 businesses have been certified.

The Act promotes and encourages participation of SDVOBs in NYS public procurements of public works, commodities, services and technology to foster and advance economic development in the State. More information on the program and the certification process can be found herehttp://ogs.ny.gov/Core/SDVOBA.asp.
