Town of Clarkstown Superintendent of Recreation and Parks Elaine Apfelbaum announced that Congers Pool will open early again this year.
In 2017, Clarkstown opened Congers Memorial Day weekend for the first time in the pool’s history. Starting this Memorial Day weekend, Congers Pool will be open Saturdays and Sundays, until June 23 when the pool will begin daily operation for the season.
“Families and seniors can enjoy Congers pool earlier in the season this year,”Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann said. “While we are working hard to cut costs in Town Government, we are also looking for better ways to serve the residents of Clarkstown. It’s part of my commitment to do more with less.”
Congers pool will be open from 12 noon – 6:45 p.m. on the following weekend dates: May 26-May 28, June 2-June 3, June 9-June 10 and June 17. From June 23-September 3 Congers pool will be open daily. (Note – the Congers pool will be closed on June 16 for the Serendipity Saturday event at Germonds Pool.)
Residents can register for pool passes at the Recreation Administration Building, 31 Zukor Road, New City during registration hours: Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., Tuesdays 7 – 9 p.m., Fridays 7 – 9 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m. – 12 noon.
