ROCKLAND BOCES STUDENTS WIN STATEWIDE TECHNICAL AWARDS

On April 27, 50 Rockland BOCES Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) students (and five chaperones) returned from the 2018 New York State SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Championships in Syracuse with stories of success! The BOCES team walked away with gold and bronze medals in the following categories:

Health Knowledge Bowl: FIRST PLACE

– Grainne McGinley (Pearl River) – Allied Health

– Sarah Taborda (Suffern Central) – New Visions

Health Occupations Professional: THIRD PLACE
– Vasthi Nicolas (East Ramapo) – Allied Health

Cabinetmaking: THIRD PLACE
– Jeremiah Murphy (Nanuet) – Carpentry
