SCENES OF ROCKLAND: Black bear dumpster dives in Tomkins Cove

On Saturday morning, April 7 a black bear visited and destroyed a locked trash bin on Deer Run in Tomkins Cove, a resident of the neighborhood told the Rockland County Times. The bear focused its energies on only the one bin, ignoring other nearby rubbish. The resident said bear sightings on the street are generally confined to months during autumn.  The image seen here is a still from the resident’s security camera.
