Former Verizon FiOS1 News TV reporter Mary Mueller has been named Sen. David Carlucci’s new communications director.
“We are thrilled to have Mary on our team,” Senator Carlucci said. “Her years of network news experience, writing and producing for CNN and Fox News Channel made her an easy choice. She’s also a talented news reporter whose caring for others and efforts to seek the truth came across often on TV.”
Carlucci continued, “Mueller has a strong understanding of the issues impacting Rockland and Westchester County residents.”
Mueller, 29, spent a little over a year at FiOS1 News covering the Hudson Valley. She has more than seven years of broadcast news experience, including stints at CNN, FoxNews and ABC’s Good Morning America.
Mueller received a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and political science from New York University. She now resides in Westchester County where she grew up. Mueller succeeds, John Lyon, who has now joined Rockland County Executive, Ed Day’s Office.
