Hello, Rockland County! I hope that you have had a great week, and were able to enjoy the bit of a thaw we have been experiencing. Well we have some active weather to talk about so let’s get to it!

Friday: Rain, which may fall moderately to heavily at times. Mild, high near 55° after a morning low near 45°. Watch for some fog as well. Chance of rain is 90%.

Saturday: Cloudy with rain showers. High near 53°, which will occur during be morning with falling temperatures during the afternoon…falling to around 40° by 3 pm. Chance of rain is 70%.

Sunday: Partly cloudy and colder. High near 29° after a morning low near 20°. Chance of precipitation is 10%.

MLK, Jr. Day: Partly cloudy and cold. High near 25° after a morning low near 16°. Chance of snow is 10%.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with some snow showers, possible. High near 27° after a morning low near 20°. Chance of snow is 40%.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy and cold. High near 24° after a morning low near 16°. Chance of snow is 20%.

Thursday: Partly cloudy and cold. High near 27° after a morning low near 18°. Chance of snow is 20%.

SUMMARY:

The most active timeframe is Friday-Saturday. This storm could bring locally heavy rain, and with snow still on the ground, we have to be on alert for flooding, so keep that in mind. Much colder weather returns by Sunday and on Monday. Some snow is possible around the Tuesday timeframe.
