Suffern Police arrest a man for a disturbance at a mosque

A disagreement at a local mosque led to an arrest Saturday in the Village of Suffern.

A 47-year-old man was arrested Saturday, accused of disrupting a mosque service he had been attending and refusing to leave. Leaders of the 6 Suffern Pl. mosque accused the man of spitting on them and acting in an “irate manner,” police said.

The man was placed under arrest by Suffern PD, charged with disturbance of a religious service, as well as disorderly conduct and harassment. He was issued a stay away order of protection.
