Gunpoint robbery at Eric’s Deli on Maple Ave.

The Saturday night graveyard shift at Eric’s Deli, 55 Maple Ave. in Spring Valley suddenly took a bad turn shortly after midnight December 17. Two masked men, one brandishing a gun, stormed the food shop, locked two employees and two customers in a storeroom and cleaned out the cash registers before fleeing southbound on Johnson St. in a small SUV, according to police.

The Spring Valley PD is asking that anyone who might have witnessed the crime or with any information related to it to call the department at 845-356-7400.  Information will be held in confidence.
