The Armonk Players present “The Liar” next month, adapted from Pierre Corneille’s 17th century farce, “Le Menteur.”

Alternative facts, mistaken identities, devious servants and passionate young love collide in “The Liar” by acclaimed American playwright, screenwriter, and novelist David Ives. Hours after arriving in Paris, the charismatic Dorante (Justin Thomas) is smitten by a pair of lovely young ladies (Rachel Schulte and Alexandra Theodoropoulos), and confounded by a case of mistaken identity.
Not to worry, this scoundrel is handsome, charming—and a pathological liar. Experience an outrageous chain of events involving intricate misunderstandings, hilarious fabrications, and complicated lies in this delightfully ingenious and irreverent update of a classic French romp.
Directed by Pia Haas, a regular contributor at Westchester Broadway Theatre.
