The Holocaust Museum Salutes Our Veterans: Thursday, November 16, 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm and 7 pm – 8:30 pm Technology Center, Ellipse of (Also in Rockland Community College)

The Fromm Maxwell-DeBaun American Legion Post: The Annual Veteran’s Day Ceremony on Friday, November 11. The parade will line up10:30 a.m. at Suffern Village Hall, 61 Washington Avenue and march to the Soldier’s Monument where the 11 a.m. ceremony begins. 

The Rockland County Veterans Coordinating Council will present the Veteran of the Year Award to honor Jerry Donnellan: Event takes place the Rockland County Courthouse Steps in New City, New York at 12 noon on Sunday, November 12 2017. Free Meals and Deals to Vets, Military on or around Veterans Day: 

Great Clips: Veterans who visit the shops get a free haircut, or a redemption card for a free cut to be used by Dec. 31.

Applebee’s: The restaurant chain offers a special free menu for vets and active military members.

Chili’s: The restaurant chain offers a special free menu for vets and active military members.

California Pizza Kitchen: The restaurant chain offers a special free menu for vets and active military members.

Starbucks: Tall brewed coffees are free to veterans and active-duty service members and their spouses on Veterans Day.

IHOP: Red, White and Blue pancakes are free to vets and active military members from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays.

Bonanza Steakhouse: The steakhouse chain also moves its Veterans Day observance to Monday, Nov. 17, with free buffets for veterans and active military members.

24-Hour Fitness: Veterans and active military can use the health club free Nov. 5 – 11.

Red Lobster: Veterans, active-duty military and reservists with valid ID can choose from a special menu of free appetizers a and deserts on Saturday, Nov. 11. Appetizers include sweet chili shrimp, mozzarella sticks, Parrot Isle jumbo coconut shrimp, seafood stuffed mushrooms, lobster and langostino pizza and shrimp cocktail. Desserts include vanilla bean cheesecake, key lime pie, warm apple crostada, Chocolate Wave and the “Brownie Overboard”

Krispy Kreme: Those who are able to identify themselves as veterans or active duty military get a free doughnut and small coffee on Veterans Day.
