REST IN PEACE JUDGE VICARI

Former Stony Point Councilman and longtime Town Justice Louis Vicari passed away Sunday, July 30 at the age of 76.

Current Stony Point Town Supervisor Jim Monaghan announced the sad news to the community on Monday, July 31. Monaghan said, “It is with great sadness to announce the passing of long time Town Justice Louis Vicari. Lou honorably served the residents of Stony Point as town justice for 24 years and then went on to be a Stony Point councilman. Lou was a true gentleman and always..the voice of reason. For the past several years Lou has been enjoying retirement in Florida with his wife Anne. Lou left the Town of Stony Point a better place. RIP.”

The longtime staple within the Stony Point community also privately practiced law for over 40 years. He leaves behind a son and a daughter, as well as six grandchildren and two brothers including twin Frank Vicari.

Vicari’s visitation will be held Friday, August 4 in Fort Pierce, FL and his funeral mass Saturday, August 5 in Vero Beach, FL.
