FOUR ROCKLANDERS GRADUATE FROM AIR FORCE BASIC TRAINING

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Daijha Braithwaite graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Braithwaite is the daughter of Festus and Dorothy Braithwaite of New Hempstead. She is a 2014 graduate of Ramapo High School.

Other recents graduates of basic training at Joint Base include U.S. Air Force Airman Cristian Victoria, a 2016 graduate of North Rockland High School, U.S. Air Force Airman Mario V. Hernandez, a 2017 graduate of North Rockland and son of Jorge E. Hernandez of Stony Point and brother of Tiana V. Hernandez of Haverstraw. U.S. Air Force Airman Genesis Tejada, a graduate of Nyack College, also completed basic training.
