Erratic Driving Results in DWI
On June 5, 55-year-old John O’Rourke of Theills was arrested on a DWI charge. At 2:25 a.m., he was observed by an officer as operating his car erratically. The officer stopped O’Rourke when he subsequently took field sobriety tests and a chemical test, revealing that he was intoxicated. Clarkstown

Warrant Out for 19-year-old
Clarkstown police have a warrant out for the arrest of 19-year-old Jonathan Alvarenga for assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. The 5-foot-8-inch white male has black hair and brown eyes and was last known for living in Congers. If you have any information, please contact the Clarkstown Police Warrant Unit at 845-639-5880.

Orangetown

Man Collides Head On with Stone Wall
On June 10, police arrested 23-year-old Keith Diaz-Albertini at 1:10 a.m. for an alleged DWI. Police responded to an accident in Pearl River at North Main Street where Diaz-Albertini drove head on into a stone wall after allegedly failing to stop at a stop sign. Officers smelled alcohol on his breath and noticed slurred speech, resulting in a field sobriety test that Diaz-Albertini failed. He was arrested and failed a breathalyzer test at headquarters. He is due in court on June 20.

Warrant Results in Additional Findings
On June 11 at 12:46 a.m. 26-year-old Nicholas F. Diaz was arrested after being spotted on Main Street in Nyack while an active warrant was out for his arrest. The officer arrested him for his warrant issued for disorderly conduct and searched Diaz, revealing two Ziploc bags testing positive for cocaine. Diaz was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. He has been remanded to Rockland County Jail on $5,000 bail.

31-year-old Allegedly Attempts to Lure Minor
On June 10, Orangetown police arrested 31-year-old Joseph Guccione of Dumont, NJ after a complaint was filed by a 17-year-old female. The female reported that on May 31, Guccione began following her as she walked alone along Parkway Drive North in Blauvelt. He allegedly drove past her multiple times before pulling up next to her to engage in conversation to get in the car and to ask for her social media accounts. The female was unharmed and able to flee. Guccione was charged with attempted luring of a child, endangering the welfare of a child, stalking and harassment. He was sent to Rockland County Jail on $2,000 bail pending a future court appearance.

Motorcycle Accident Investigation
Orangetown police are investigating a car accident that occurred on Old Middletown Road on June 14 at 4:12 a.m. Motorcyclist James Hawley of Valley Cottage lost control, causing him to detach from his motorcycle and obtain serious injuries. Investigation of this incident may cause traffic issues in the next few days. Witnesses are encouraged to call the Orangetown Police Department at 845-359-3700.

Suffern

Suspicious Vehicle Leads to Arrest
On June 8, police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at Lonergan Drive. Upon locating the vehicle, police investigated. They found a 20-year-old Suffern male in possession of several ounces of marijuana. He was arrested and released on bail.
