Suffern Men Involved in Robbery with Gang Member
A gang member, Wilbur J. Barahona, from Ridgewood admitted to a carjacking, kidnapping and leaving a cab driver for dead after robbing a Hawthorne bar with four fellow crew members. He told a U.S. District Court Judge that he and the other 18th Street Gang members got into a cab in Paterson on Dec. 26, 2015 around 3 a.m. The members took over control of the cab, knocked the driver over the head with a beer bottle and sliced his throat, before leaving him on the side of the New York State Thruway near Woodbury. The cab driver survived. The other members involved in the incident include Suffern residents Jostin Vidal Reyes, Guillermo Carrillo-Iraheta, Balmore Carrillo-Iraheta and Juan Chiliseo-Vega. Oscar Avalos-Cortez of New City drove the getaway car.

Wanted for Endangering Child’s Welfare
Martine Arline is wanted by the Clarkstown Police Department for endangering the welfare of a child. The 32-year-old last resided in Nanuet. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the department by calling 877-639-5880.
