TZHS ANNOUNCES VALEDICTORIAN AND SALUTATORIAN

On May 15, Tappan Zee High School Principal Jennifer Amos formally announced that Samuel Gould is the Class of 2017 valedictorian and David Lustigis salutatorian.
 
A National Merit Scholarship winner, Gould has served as captain of the tennis and soccer teams, president of Model UN and Academic League, and editor-in-chief of Tapress, while excelling in the most rigorous courses available to him. He is also Student Council Vice President and played piano in the Jazz Band for the past four years. Sam is headed to Harvard University this fall, where he plans to major in the physical sciences. Lustigis, a National Merit Scholarship finalist, distinguished himself as a compassionate scholar-leader. He is president of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and Science Olympiad team, Math Team Captain, and a Varsity swimmer. Beyond the school day, David works at Jawonio and counsels teens at his temple. David will attend Northeastern University and plans to pursue studies in economics and math.
