The Garner Arts Center ready for it’s Arts Festival May 20 and 21 at 6 p.m. rain or shine both days. Focused on Social Justice with participating artists, local arts organizations and community arts leaders leading roundtable discussions with attending guests participating. There will be 40 open artists studios and many artist workshops and a kid’s corner keeping youngsters active. The Morning Music Club awarding scholarships ranging between $1,500 and $2,500 to three talented Rockland County High School seniors who will perform at a free evening recital May 23 at 7:30 p.m. at Nauraushan Presbyterian Church in Pearl River. They are Matt Krane, jazz piano, Suffern High School; Samantha Donato, upright bass, Suffern High School and Stefano Malinverno, jazz saxophone, Tappan Zee High School. Time change is 1:45 p.m. (to 4:45 p.m.) for the Bob Dylan folk songfest Sunday May 28 at the Nanuet Public Library. Dylan songs to be performed by Chris Brown, Gary Solomon, Judy Kass, Katherine  Rondeau,  Robin Greenstein and the Ray Band Dylan Tribute. Information at [email protected].
