ROCKLAND BOCES STUDENTS COMPETE IN SKILLS USA LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

Forty-three Rockland BOCES Technical Education Center (CTEC) students showed off their talents at the recent SkillsUSA State Leadership Conference and Skills Championship in Syracuse. The BOCES team arrived home with eight silver medals in the following categories:

Quinton Tramm (Clarkstown South) and Dario Verhille (Clarkstown North)

Food Preparation Assistant Basic:
Avery Payne (Nanuet)

Health Knowledge Bowl:
Sierra Flourney (North Rockland)
Simar Goyal (Clarkstown North)
Diana Mathew (Clarkstown North)
Rebecca Varghese (Clarkstown North)

The Rockland BOCES team, representing all Rockland County school districts, competed against 2,600 students from schools and colleges across New York State. Congratulations to all of the competitors and to CTEC Principal Kim Bell and her staff.
