OFFICER LENNON WHO DEFENDED ORANGETOWN DURING BRINKS ROBBERY PASSES

Retired Nyack Police Officer Brian Lennon passed away this week at the age of 64.

Lennon was cited by Orangetown Police for his bravery during the Brinks robbery in 1981 on the ramp going on to the NYS Thruway in Central Nyack.

Lennon was present at the massive shoot-out between left-wing domestic terrorists and local law enforcement that left Police Officer Waverly (Chipper) Brown and Sgt. Ed O’Grady dead, as well as Brinks guard Peter Paige.

Recently members of Rockland County have been fighting to keep co-conspirer and  convicted getaway driver Judith Clark in prison.
