IN MEMORY OF SALVATORE DAPRA

My North Rockland friends,

Last Monday, December 19, we said goodbye to my husband, Salvatore “Sal” Dapra. Our son Ken and grandson Aiden, Sal’s best buddy, mourn his loss very deeply. We cannot say enough about the kindness and caring that the North Rockland community showed to us and our extended family at T.J. McGowan’s Funeral Home and at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. The McGowan staff were so very accommodating and helped us through this sad time in our lives and in handling the many mourners. The choir at St. Greg’s, where both Sal and I have been long-time members, were simply wonderful. My undying gratitude goes to the choir director, David Azarow, for the hymn selection and performance. Our pastor, Fr. Joseph LaMorte spoke so eloquently both at the Mass of the Resurrection and when he was with us during Sal’s last moments at Good Samaritan Hospital. Sal’s final resting place, at the Frederick Loescher Veterans Cemetery and the ceremony provided by the US Army were so very comforting. My family is so proud to call North Rockland our home.

God bless you all,
Linda Dapra
