Rockland receives state grant for docks at Haverstraw park

PRESS RELEASE – Rockland County has received a state grant to replace the floating docks at Haverstraw Bay Park, county officials announced last week.

The $106,250 Hudson River Estuary grant from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation will enable the county to replace the docks with ones that are handicapped-accessible

More than 125,000 people visit the park annually and more than 700 boats launch from the site. The funds will also pay for an ADA-compliant kayak launch. The county hopes that the work will be completed by the late spring.
