To the Editor,
To all Americans who voted for Donald J. Trump: From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for your support. We should all get on our knees and thank God for Mr. Trump’s victory. It will be so refreshing to have a President who, unlike Obama, is proud of the United States, and who understands the extraordinary good that our country has accomplished, both at home and in the world. Sure, the USA isn’t perfect. However, anyone with knowledge of history knows that the good far, far outweighs the bad. (For examples, remember how the USA reconstructed Germany, Japan, and South Korea.) It’s not even close. You won’t see Mr. Trump constantly apologizing for the United States.
Among many other things, here are a few that we can look forward to with Mr. Trump in office. When it comes to immigration policy, the safety of the American citizens will be given top priority. Immigrants from countries with terrorism problems will be given the utmost scrutiny. ISIS, which thrived due to Mr. Obama’s misguided polices, and which Mr. Obama stupidly called the JV team, will be dealt with in a decisive manner. And yes, Mr. Trump won’t be afraid to say the words “radical Islam.” We will be a stronger and safer country with Mr. Trump as President.
To all Americans who voted against Donald Trump: Please give him time to accomplish what he has promised. Rome wasn’t built in a day. During his time in office, Mr. Obama has done tremendous damage. Among many other things, the national debt has more than doubled, economic growth has been anemic for eight years, more Americans are on food stamps than ever before, and Obamacare is a gigantic mess (and has severely hurt the economy). Moreover, racial discord is worse than at any time since the 1960s, and inner cities, especially for minorities, are worse off than ever.
Apart from giving Mr. Trump time, please try news outlets that present the other (non-liberal) point of view. These include Fox News and talk radio. The mainstream media is extraordinarily one-sided (and dishonest).
Well, that’s all for now. It’s been a long eight years, but I now have a much more positive view of our future. I remain
