BOCES STUDENTS LEARN THE LAW FROM HUMBACH

unnamedLooking at the law! Local students participating in the Rockland BOCES Career and Technical Education (CTEC) Criminal Justice program this week received a special visit by Rockland County Attorney Thomas Humbach. The County Attorney serves as the chief legal advisor to the executive and legislative branches, charged with overseeing all legal affairs of county government. Topics of discussion included the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Amendments, with particular focus on civil liberties and our protections against unreasonable searches and seizures. Mr. Humbach detailed several high-profile legal cases, which provided real-life examples to enhance and support classroom learning.
