Five Brookyln and Queens men charged in CVS Garnerville larceny

HAVERSTRAW PD REPORT

On Friday, September 23 at approximately 1:30 p.m. Haverstraw PD received a call from an employee of CVS in Garnerville stating several subjects just stole merchandise from the store.

The four men exited the store and entered a car in the parking lot, which a witness described to police. A patrol car responding to the incident observed the vehicle traveling on Rosman Rd. and an officer attempted to stop the vehicle, causing the vehicle stop on a side road and all the occupants to exit and flea on foot.

One subject was apprehended at the scene, four others occupants of the car jumped a fence and continued to flee. A search of the area continued for several hours and the remaining four that fled were all apprehended.

Police eventually recovered over $3,700 in stolen medicine from CVS.

The following men were arrested:

Trevor Owens, age 26, from Brooklyn NY

Joseph Thomas, age 43, from Queens NY

Lee Holt, age 28, from Brooklyn NY

All five were charged with criminal possession of stolen property third a Class D felony and resisting arrest. They were all arraigned, in the Town of Haverstraw Court by the Honorable Judge John Grant.

All five subjects were sent to the Rockland County Jail, the bail amounts varied from $10,000 to automatic remand based on prior criminal history. Haverstraw PD was assisted by several agencies, NYSP, Stony Point Police, RC Sheriff’s Dept. and the RC Aviation unit.
