The seventh annual Town of Haverstraw Air Show was held Saturday, August 20 at the Haverstraw Scenic Hudson Riverview Park off of Beach Road, once again organized by the Hudson Valley Radio Control Club (HVRCC). The event welcomed persons of all ages to engage in flight demos and buddy boxes for anyone interested in flying with an experienced flyer.
Bruce Leach, president of the HVRCC led the efforts to bring the day together. The Town of Haverstraw Parks Department and Highway Department also assisted in making the event happen.
Donations at the Air Show were collected for the Hi-Tor Animal Shelter and the American Cancer Society. Cambridge Security Seals of Pomona sponsored the balsa gliders for all attendees.
