PM PEDIATRICS SURPASSES 1 MILLION PATIENT MILESTONE

LAKE SUCCESS, NY – PM Pediatrics, one of the nation’s largest providers of specialized pediatric urgent care, announced today that it has treated over 1 million patients since the company opened its first practice in 2005. Open every day until midnight, PM Pediatrics is staffed by pediatric emergency specialists and features equipment and an office environment all tailored to provide the best possible care for patients from cradle through college.

PM Pediatrics was founded by Dr. Jeffrey Schor and Steven Katz, whose partnership can be traced back to when they met as freshman year roommates at Amherst College. Dr. Schor went on to become the director of Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Associate Chair of Emergency Medicine at a major New York City hospital, while Steve became a management consultant with a focus on the healthcare industry. Their vision to form PM Pediatrics stemmed from a shared entrepreneurial passion, disillusionment with the health care system, and a belief that they could make a significant impact in the way acute medial care is delivered to children.

“Since the very first PM Pediatrics patient walked through our doors over 11 years ago, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to providing the best patient experience possible,” said Steven Katz. “This exciting moment in our company’s history could not have been accomplished without our devoted team, loyal patients, and support from the primary care community across all of our locations.”

“One million patient visits is much more than just a number, as we recall all of the times we were able to provide comfort to a worried parent, and the countless smiles we have received from the patients we have cared for,” said Dr. Jeffrey Schor. “We are incredibly grateful to have achieved this milestone and take pride in being at the forefront of revolutionizing the way urgent care is delivered to children.”
