Allison Wilhelm did not let the ironic misspelling of “college” on her graduation cake spoil the fun of her party. Instead, friends and family made the error the subject of social media glory.

About 100 North Rocklanders in the North Rockland Community Facebook Group commented on the funny photo, all in good humor. Wilhelm said her mother and grandmother went to Shop Rite in Stony Point to pick up the cake. “It was their mistake not to check the cake, but they assumed it wasn’t too difficult of a task!”

The mother of a bakery employee said the error was out of character for the supermarket. “It must have been someone covering a break…My daughter works in the bakery and for the most part they do a pretty good job.”
