Communications Director Shuffle: Salotto moves on, Lerner moves in

Rockland County Executive Ed Day has a new director of strategic communications, Jane Lerner, formerly of the Journal News.

Scott Salotto, who held the position since Day appointed him at the nascency of his administration, has accepted a position at Rockland BOCES as director of communications and governmental relations. Before joining Day’s war room in 2014 Solatto also was a journalist, working for WABC radio.

Lerner had been with the Journal News for over 20 years in various capacities before assuming her duties this week as Ed Day’s primary spokeswoman and communications strategist.
