Clarkstown PD seeks person of interest in shooting incident

The Clarkstown detective Bureau is seeking a person of interest who was present at the time of the shooting that occurred on Saturday March 12, 2016 at approximately 5:40 PM. Darique Burke, 20, of the Nyack area is described as a male black with a muscular build and facial hair. He frequents the Nyack area and has the nickname “Rico”.

The Clarkstown Police Department responded to the area 26 Upper Depew Ave Central Nyack for a report of a male shot. A male caller dialed 911 and stated that he was shot. Responding patrol units were met by the victim who was bleeding from the mouth area. The 20 year old male victim from Nyack stated that an unknown person shot him as he was walking in the area of the Super 8 Motel in Central Nyack.

The victim was transported to Nyack ER by Nyack Volunteer Ambulance and is undergoing medical treatment for what appears to be a non-life threatening injury. The Clarkstown Detective Bureau has been conducting an investigation into the shooting and has determined that Darique Burke was at the scene.
