‘Coffee with Colin’ meet and greet tour announced: Schmitt hosts grassroots tour of the 99th Assembly District

Colin J. Schmitt, New Windsor resident and likely Republican candidate for state Assembly, has announced the launch of ‘Coffee with Colin,’ a series of meet and greets in the 10 towns of the 99th Assembly District. The district is primarily in Orange County but includes the Town of Stony Point in Rockland.

Open discussions of the issues and current events facing the community and state will be featured at the events. Schmitt will treat community members to coffee at a local establishment while asking to hear what matters most to them.

Schmitt, who serves in the Army National Guard and previously served as Director of Operations for the NYS Senate Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs Committee, stated, “I look forward to spending a couple winter weekends across Orange and Rockland Counties at our great local coffee shops, delis and diners. ‘Coffee with Colin’ will allow me to meet with many of my neighbors and local residents to discuss the issues facing our community and state. I invite all area residents to join me at a local ‘Coffee with Colin’ event. Bring a friend or family member, the coffee will be hot and the conversation will be engaging.”

Schmitt also ran for Assembly in 2012 and prior to that ran the New Dawn PAC that sought government reform, including the end of double dipping pension packages.
