Accused Craigslist killer, 19-year-old Dylan Lentini is to be formally charged by Judge William A. Kelly in Rockland Court on Thursday, Dec 10. after he was indicted on Friday, Dec. 4 by a grand jury for murder in the second, intent, class A felony.

Rockland Public Defender James Licata will represent Lentini for the murder charge. Dylan Lentini is reported to be a homeless man who responded to the 66-year-old Mike Wimbert’s Craigslist advertisement for a roommate at his upstairs West Nyack apartment.

Police say Wimbert, the murder victim, picked up Lentini at the White Plains train station on Friday, Nov 27.  Three days later police found Lentini  at 1:45a.m. on West Nyack Road with blood streaming from a cut on his right hand.  An alleged murder weapon was recovered, a kitchen carving knife.

A neighbor had dialed 911 after seeing a man matching Lentini’s description exit the West Nyack home and yell “Call the hospital! Call 911!”  Blood was found on the doorknob and police broke down the locked door to find Wimbert stabbed multiple times.  Wimbert was pronounced dead at the scene.
