SENATOR CARLUCCI HOSTS 4TH ANNUAL SENIOR FAIR

Senator David Carlucci (D – Rockland Westchester) was joined by Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul, Congresswoman Nita Lowey and numerous elected officials for his Fourth Annual Senior Fair recently.

Hundreds of seniors and vendors participated in the event, which was held at the Rockland Community College Eugene Levy House. During the fair, Cablevision’s popular program ‘Meet the Leaders’ taped a special segment on seniors with Lieutenant Governor Hochul and Senator Carlucci. The topics discussed included property tax relief, protecting Medicare, investing in Alzheimer’s research and keeping energy costs low.

Throughout the day there were yoga demonstrations, professional dance lessons and a performance by the Filipino American Senior Association of Rockland.

“I am absolutely thrilled with the overwhelming enthusiasm and turnout we have witnessed at our Senior Fair,” said Senator David Carlucci. “I would like to thank Lieutenant Governor Hochul and all of the elected officials, vendors and the tremendous staff at Rockland Community College for making this year’s Senior Fair even bigger and better. Knowledge is power, and by keeping our seniors informed we are giving them the tools needed to lead healthy, comfortable and active lives.”

Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochuh noted, “With $25 million dollars in additional funding for caregiver support, respite services, and Alzheimer’s research, we continue to look for new ways to enhance New Yorkers’ quality of life.”
