Stony Point Crime Report 8/17/15

ASSAULT, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF & HARASSMENT
Michael Rivera, age 30, residing at 30 Park Avenue, Highland Mills, NY, was arrested on August 15, 2015 for assault in the third degree, criminal mischief in the third degree and two counts of harassment in the second degree. The defendant was arrested following an investigation into two separate domestic disputes. It is alleged the defendant did strike his wife causing minor physical injury and did also damage her cell phone beyond repair . The defendant was arrested, processed, arraigned and ROR’d on appearance ticket returnable September 3, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. A full stay-away Order of Protection was also issued on behalf of the victim.

AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT & CRIMINAL CONTEMPT
Josef Segelbacher, age 32, residing at 47 New Main Street, Haverstraw, NY, was arrested on August 13, 2015 for aggravated harassment in the second degree and criminal contempt in the second degree. The defendant was arrested following an investigation that alleged the defendant did violate a duly served Order of Protection by attempting to contact the victim by electronic means. The defendant was arrested, processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable September 1, 2015 at 9 a.m.

BURGLARY & CRIMINAL TRESPASS
Michael Sparks, age 17, residing at 195 Central Highway, Stony Point, NY, was arrested on August 6, 2015 for attempted burglary in the second degree and criminal trespass in the second degree. The defendant was arrested following an investigation into reported burglary where it is alleged the defendant did unlawfully enter and remain in a residence and fled upon police arrival; he was apprehended a short distance from the location. On August 11, 2015 the defendant was again arrested on an arrest warrant charging him with criminal mischief in the fourth degree and criminal trespass in the third degree involving a separate incident. The defendant was arrested, processed, arraigned and ROR’d on appearance ticket returnable September 17, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. on the August 6 arrest. He was arrested on the arrest warrants, processed and arraigned. He was then remanded to the RC Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
Kenneth Ledford, age 28, residing on Chestnut Ridge Road, Spring Valley, NY, was arrested on July 30, 2015 for criminal mischief in the fourth degree. The Stony Point Police Department assisted the Ramapo Police in attempting to locate the listed defendant on one of their warrants. The defendant was located in a home on Munn Avenue in Stony Point. The defendant was arrested on the Ramapo warrant and was charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree. He was processed and later turned over to the Ramapo Police for arraignment in their court.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT
Carlos Urena, age 37, residing at 14 North Liberty Dr Stony Point, NY,  was arrested on August 1, 2015 for criminal contempt in the second degree. The Stony Point Police Department assisted the Haverstraw Police in attempting to locate the listed defendant on one of their warrants. The defendant was located at his home in Stony Point. The defendant was arrested on the Haverstraw warrant and was charged, processed and later turned over to the Haverstraw Police for arraignment in their court.

ASSAULT, PETIT LARCENY & CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY
Simonetta Dove, age 48, residing at 405 Battalion Drive, Stony Point, NY, was arrested on August 2, 2015 for assault in the third degree, petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree. The defendant was arrested following an investigation that revealed the defendant did cause minor physical injury to another and was found in possession of a cell phone that was stolen from the victim. The defendant was arrested, processed and released on an appearance ticket after posting $100 cash bail.
