RAMAPO PD INVESTIGATING FIRE

The Ramapo Police department is currently conducting an investigation
into the causes of a fire, which destroyed a pick-up truck and trailer.

At about 3 a.m., August 12 the department was advised, by a NYSP
Trooper who was turning around in the Provident Bank Park lot, of a
vehicle fire in the parking lot. Arriving officers found the truck and
trailer in flames with substantial damage to both. There were no
people in the area when the fire was discovered.

The pick-up, 2010 Toyota Tundra, with a 2009 United utility trailer
attached was parked in the eastern part of the parking lot of the
Provident Bank Park east lot. The Pick-up was parked just off the
paved portion of the lot on a grass area. The Truck is owned by a
company which has been doing work at the ballpark.

At this time Ramapo Police detectives, with the assistance of Rockland
Sheriff’s Department BCI is looking into this as a suspicious fire.
