DUMB MOVE OF THE WEEK: Boulders to host “DWI Awareness Night” during same game as beer giveaway

D'oh, Ken! Boulders owner Ken Lehner may want to reconsider hosting Drunk Driving Awareness Night on the same evening as "Thirsty Thursday," where fans [including those holding the car keys] can load up on $1 Budweisers and $3 mystery craft beers

The Rockland Boulders will be hosting seemingly contradictory promotions at their Thursday, August 27 home game.

STOP DWI Rockland County will be the main theme of the night, as the Boulders do their part to promote responsible consumption of alcohol.

But somewhat ironically, that night also marks one of 10 “Thirsty Thursdays” over the course of the summer. Along with insanely cheap $1 Bud and Bud Light drafts, fans who show proper ID can purchase a special $3 mystery craft beer in the Boulders Brew Pub.

Ken Lehner, president, boasted, “We are going to run the gamut from crazy to zany and everything in between when it comes to entertaining our fans this summer.”

Let’s just hope nobody drives home slammed on STOP DWI Night.
