NANUET CHAMBER TO HOST SUMMER NETWORKING EVENT AT SHOPS AT NANUET

The Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce will host the Second Annual Joint Networking Tent Event at the Shops at Nanuet on Thursday, July 9 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. The event is conducted in partnership with the Shops at Nanuet and Fashion Drive will be blocked off from vehicle traffic to accommodate this year’s festivities held under a large tent.

“Last year we had over 120 people from across Rockland County join us and it was pouring rain! This year we promise no rain, but we got a bigger tent, just in case!,” joked Kevin Hardy, Event Coordinator. All the other Rockland County Chambers and two from Bergen County as well as the Rockland Business Women’s Network have been invited to participate in this event. Sponsors include Connections Contact Center, Hudson Barter Exchange, HV Biz/The Westchester Business Journal, Rockland County Times, Rockland VIP and Wells Fargo.

The fun evening includes networking, a directory of all attendees, great food provided by restaurants at the Shops, raffle prizes and this year the presentation of the first ever “Partnership in Progress Awards” developed by the Nanuet Chamber of Commerce.

“We developed these awards to recognize two organizations that have supported the Chamber and helped us grow significantly since our formation only three years ago. We have done amazing things in a very short period of time and it is due to the dedication and hard work of our board members but also to the two organizations which will be recognized that evening,” stated Risa Hoag, president of the Chamber, who indicated that the winners of the awards will be announced that night.  The Chamber recently completed its second annual Street Fair where nearly 200 vendors showcased their products and services and more than 12,000 people took part.
