Boulders Craft Beer Festival this Saturday

As the 2015 season rapidly approaches, the Rockland Boulders are set to begin their defense of the 2014 Can-Am League Championship with an exhibition game on May 16 against the NYPD’s Finest, preceded by the third annual Craft Beer Festival.

Partnering with Dana Distributors, the Craft Beer Festival will take place at Provident Bank Park prior to the exhibition game from 12-5 PM and will feature unlimited tastings and live music for an entry fee of only $25 prior to the event and $30 day of.  Along with beers from more than 10 different breweries, fans will have their first chance to taste the new “2nd Base Blonde” and, back by popular demand, “Bottom 9 Brew”, the exclusive craft beers of the Rockland Boulders. A late addition to the lineup is “Eastern Day Cider” from Awestruck Cider. Finally, as a special treat, Goose Island’s limited edition “2014 Lolita” will be available for tasting while supplies last.

“Our third annual ‘Beers Around the Bases’ Craft Beer Festival is destined to be our highest attended to date,” said Ken Lehner, Rockland Boulders Team President. “Our extensive partnership with Anheuser-Busch has led to a myriad of beer selections, plus the strategic decision to move it from September to May has led to increased ticket sales.”

All throughout the concourse, Boulders fans will have the opportunity to sample from more than 25 different beers stationed at 11 different loge boxes and the Craft Beer Room as well as various trucks, draught carts and jockey boxes.   While browsing the extensive beer selection, or perusing the beautiful Provident Bank Park, Boulders fans can also be entertained by live music from The Black Dirt Bandits and The Vibe.

The Black Dirt Bandits hail from Pine, New York and have been favorites of those in the Hudson Valley region for years’ with their renditions of various classic/southern rock and country tunes. The Vibe are also a favorite of those in the tri-state area, and will bring a high energy selection of party-rock-dance hits to accompany the evening to keep the celebration going.
