Driver Arrested for Leaving the Scene of a Pedestrian Struck Accident

On Saturday May 9, 2015 at approximately 11:15 p.m., the driver of the car involved in a hit and run accident  in New City turned himself in to the Clarkstown Police Department. The accident occurred on Saturday May 9, 2015 at approximately 2:10 a.m. on Old Rt.304 and Cypress St. in New City.

Robert Faist, 32, of River Rise Rd in New City was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious injuries (felony). He was processed and given an appearance ticket to return to court on May 18, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. The suspects vehicle was impounded for evidence.
