Ramapo High School – Service Day

On April 25, 2015 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., 300+ volunteers will be participating in a “Beautification Service Project” at Ramapo HS.

These are volunteers from over 20 churches in Rockland County along with volunteers from Lowe’s Home Improvement Stores, Nyack College and the community. Organizers said the atmosphere will be festive and noted there will be food distributed by the Salvation Army.

Ed Ilarraza said, “We will transform the courtyard at Ramapo High School into a peaceful trail of newly planted shrubbery, a butterfly habitat, restful meditative sitting areas and a source of vegetables and spice gardens.  The entire shrubbery frontage of the school will be cleaned out, dug down, and re-mulched. New bushes will be planted by the front entrance. All in all we wish to help make the environment a pleasant place for education to take place.”
