STONY POINT SESQUICENTENNIAL KICKING INTO GEAR

The Stony Point Historical Society will be hosting “Say Happy Birthday Stony Point,” the Sesquicentennial kick-off event, on Friday, April 17 at the RHO building from 4-8 p.m. There will be birthday cake and coffee and the opportunity to hear and share stories of Stony Point history. Historical Society president Susan Filgueras also announced an extensive list of other activities planned for the celebration, and asked the board for a $2,500 seed money contribution to be used towards flyers, t-shirts, hats and other publicity items. Flyers listing events will be available at the kick-off, at Town Hall, at the RHO building and on the website. Anyone interested in helping to plan or run any of the events is welcome to attend the Sesquicentennial committee meetings.
