TZC Recognized for MWDBE (Small Business) Contract Opportunities on the New NY Bridge Project

Tappan Zee Constructors, LLC (TZC) spokeswoman Carla Julian will accept an award on behalf of the bridge design-builder at the NY Women Builders Council’s (WBC’s) 11th Annual Champion Awards Dinner tonight at New York City’s Gotham Hall.

TZC is recognized for its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program for the New NY Bridge project, which offers hundreds of millions of dollars in contract opportunities to New York’s Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (MWDBEs). TZC employees to be honored at the event as outstanding women in construction are:

Sally Bankes, Hannah Carmical, Melissa Chin, Sierra Farber, Evamarie Gerri, Victoria Graney,  Carla Julian,  Sabrina Levine, Jeanette Pineda, Victoria Rasper and Alessandra Rosso.

As of February 2015, 93 DBE firms have performed on the NNYB project with a total subcontract value of $149.2 million.

Julian is TZC’s Community Outreach/Diversity Manager and a member of the WBC Board of Directors.
