ROCKLAND COUNTY SENIORS: LEARN HOW TO PREVENT FINANCIAL EXPLOITATION

The Rockland County Office for the Aging, in conjunction with the FDIC and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, will host a free seminar on the prevention of older adult financial exploitation on March 26, 2015 at the Rockland County Fire Training Center in Pomona.

Learn how to:

Recognize and reduce the risk of elder financial exploitation
Guard against identity theft
Plan for loss of the ability to manage finances
Prepare financially for unexpected life events and disasters
Find helpful resources for managing money and reporting financial exploitation
Program presented by Jenefer Duane, Senior Program Analyst, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Washington D.C.

The seminar starts at 10 a.m. Registration is required.
