World Renowned Artist Andy Golub to Do Nude Bodypainting in Sparkill Nyack resident Believes in Freedom of Expression

10502166_326573150875548_4565932601256250617_nThree volunteers are to be nude body-painted at an ArtsRock event, rescheduled due to the non-blizzard for Friday, February 7, 6 p.m. at the Union Arts Center, 2 Union Street in Sparkill.

Andy Golub, a world renowned artist from Central Nyack, tells the Rockland County Times he will paint volunteer models totally in the nude. He has done this type of artwork many times in New York City. “It is completely legal,” said Golub, “and is an interesting process I want to share with the public.”

Golub is chairman of the Rockland County Art in Public Places Committee. He has done body painting in many private studios and several public places in his career.

Golub, born in the Bronx, and raised in Tappan, has resided in Central Nyack with his family for more than 15 years. Of his nude body-painting work, Golub says there are some people who find it objectionable, but most have been welcoming
