Part of Central Highway closed due to nasty accident

STONY POINT — A head-on collision on Central Highway near the intersection of Sullivan Dr. has sent multiple persons to the hospital Monday night. A portion of Central Highway was closed off in Stony Point as first responders handled the emergency.

Witnesses described the accident scene as severe.

UPDATE — A resident who lives close to the accident scene told the newspaper a 24-year-old male perished in the crash. It is the second accident in three days in Stony Point to claim the life of a person in their early 20s.

Central Highway has reopened.
