Under new management, old deli spot in Haverstraw now offers pizza

pizzaHAVERSTRAW – The former spot of the Avenue Deli at 87 Samsondale Avenue in Haverstraw has been taken over by a new owner who is now offering fresh-baked pizza alongside the typical spread of deli goods.

Timothy Borman, the owner and operator of the newly-opened C&R Deli, stated to the Rockland County Times that the location has only been open for about a week, but has already seen good business on both the deli and pizza sides of the business. The deli is located along a busy road in a residential area.

The business is a next step for Borman, who has long been in the deli business. Before opening the new location, he worked for several years at Lane Deli on Washburns Lane in Stony Point, a familiar community fixture for North Rockland residents.

Much like Lane Deli, C&R Deli and Pizza offers package deals on family dinners at cheap prices. For $13.79 plus tax, customers can buy two large cheese pizzas. C&M Deli is open for lunch and dinner. Seating is also available for customers who wish to dine in.
