BLAUVELT SONS OF ITALY WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS AND AWARDS TWO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH SCHOLARSHIPS

On October 22 the Blauvelt Sons of Italy hosted a dinner to welcome 15 new members into the organization. The group also honored two Rockland County students with scholarships for their commitment and dedication to learning the language of Italian. Stephanie Sweeney, a senior at Tappan Zee High School, received one of the scholarships and attended the event with her parents, her Italian teacher Patricia Castalli, Tappan Zee High School Principal Dr. Jennifer Amos and South Orangetown School District Superintendant Dr. Ken Mitchell. Erica Bosso also received a scholarship for her studies of the Italian language. Erica is a senior at Clarkstown South High School and was accompanied by her grandfather, parents and Italian teacher Marissa Riccioli.
