Haverstraw Honors Septuagenarians!

The Town of Haverstraw’s Eighth Annual Ninety-Plus Recognition Day was held this past Monday, September 22, 2014 at the Knights of Columbus.

It was a day of celebration to honor all those who are 90 or older. There were 60 honorees in total this year, including six new honorees for 2014: Martin Adler, Elizabeth Bates, Anthony Bosico, Elizbeth Conklin, Ann Kopko and Frances K. Smith. Special congratulations is in order for these residents who have a wealth of life experience and all were very happy to come out for the festivities.

Elected officials from New York State, Rockland County and the Town of Haverstraw personally congratulated the honorees with salutations and certificates. Several local businesses made donations and attendees enjoyed music and refreshments.
